“Seigi, a martial arts trained middle schooler, often feels driven to protect the weaker people around him. One day, he defends a homeless man against some punks, and the man gives him a strange tattoo on his palm in return. The tattoo is a secret weapon produced in the arms race between America and the Serinistan Kingdom. Seigi finds himself in over his head when a powerful girl, using the same secret weapon, violently pursues him in order to retrieve it. His skill at martial arts may not be enough to keep him alive, but will he be able to learn how to trigger the power of his tattoo in time?”                   -Myanimelist.net

What started out to be a decent anime turned into a “Oh crap we have too much material to be doing this in 12 episodes” type anime. The first four episodes I thought were  great but after that the story sped up quite rapidly. It was extremely difficult to follow after that. You have to piece together the story as you went, I don’t ever remember being introduced to BB, he just appears out of thin air. The animation also got very lazy, like in final episode where the two sources were fighting each other it was the same animation over and over again. The opening of the anime can be misleading, because it shows a lot of characters but half of them are only important in flashbacks. They have two episodes of screen time and that’s about it. So giving them so much hype is strange. I liked the characters but it was less about them and more about the tattoos, which I understand, but a little more background about everybody would be nice. For instance I had no idea that Colonel Sanders was Izzy’s Dad until the last episode, I was just shocked like WHAT??! Overall Taboo Tatto is rushed with little to no character development or real explanation on how the power works making the story hard to follow.
